About this Artist
I have enjoyed taking pictures for as long as I can remember, but up until the last few years, I hadn’t been thoughtful about the technicalities of photography and composition. I decided to take the course through UW to enhance my skills and find direction in my photography journey. After taking this course, my skills have improved and my eyes have been opened to a world I never knew existed. While I still do not know what path I will be taking in this journey, my love for black and white photography will continue along with me.
About this Work
As I was researching ideas for this project, I came across photographers who excelled at contrasting light and dark. After seeing these images, I knew I wanted to do the same. I spent hours walking the streets of downtown Wenatchee, WA scouring dark streets and alleyways to find where the lights shone the brightest. In my quest, I learned that light told the stories of the darkness. These stories are represented in my photographic series.
