Kara is a U.S. Army Veteran and Registered Nurse who lives in Washington State with her husband, three children and two Boston Terriers. When she is not busy with her family and work, she enjoys exploring new skills and techniques with her photography hobby. Some areas of particular interest are nature, still photography and macro with a goal of expanding into portraits.
About this Work
My project is centered around electronic addiction. These time warping devices have been triggering dopamine receptors in all ages, without discrimination. The revolution of digital media has left a mark on a generation that will likely never understand a life without it. I hope these photos help us reflect on our society as we dive deeper and deeper into an isolated space.
