About this Artist:
I have always enjoyed photography, but I never found the time to dedicate myself to it until after the birth of my firstborn daughter. Learning photography during this time was challenging, but so rewarding. I currently live and photograph whatever intrigues me in Kenmore, WA, with my husband, two daughters, and two dogs. I use my camera to find the beauty in the everyday.
About this Work:
I have alway enjoyed abstract art and the beauty that can be found in the ordinary or unexpected. For this series I set out to capture the intriguing interaction between oil and water and create beautiful images that would captivate the viewer. I greatly enjoyed photographing this series and the fascinating micro environments that these contrasting elements created.
