Linda Kim | Seen But Unseen

About this Artist

I am a visual person. I process information best visually. Photography has always been interesting to me and a bucket list item. It took a lifetime to pick up a professional camera. What I thought would be an amazing hobby has turned into a real passion. Through a lens, I have learned to see the world differently and hopefully for the better. While I appreciate all photography, I am mainly a portrait photographer, finding interest and beauty in each and every person I see through my camera.

About this Work

This was a project of personal growth on a photographic and personal level. Prior to this project, I met a young man, 17 years old and recently homeless. He had braces, was polite and clearly loved, but had been kicked out for drug use. He reminded me of a typical boy next door. That encounter inspired this project. The goal was to show the faces of a group of people on the fringes of society, seen yet unseen. Hopefully what you see is that some of these faces could likely be you and me, but for circumstances.
