Jerrilyn Brower | The Ground We Walk On
About this Artist
I have been a nature and wildlife photographer since I was 13 years old. Ever since the beginning, I have known that I want to bring awareness and change to the global destruction of the natural world with my work now and in the future.
My favorite genre of photography is macro; it allows me to get up close and personal with the intricate and diverse details of the forest. For me, there’s nothing quite like a cool morning with everything covered in dewdrops and the birds are singing; it’s the perfect time to get out and create art in the woods.
About this Work
This project was inspired by bringing awareness to the destruction of our forests and everything in them. I brought the studio outside to spotlight the miniature world around us, one that gets stepped on every day. I was more than excited to get closer, immerse myself and remind us all of the little bits of beauty out there. It seems we can forget that it's not always about the grand and glorious you can find in the far reaches of the planet, it can be as simple and small as you want it to be. The beauty of nature is everywhere; you need only look for it.
