About this Artist:
I am inspired to make this series work because I was a student in Seattle Central for a year and I am always on Capitol Hill every weekend close to QueerBar. I have seen many drag queens walking around with their makeup and their outstanding clothes while going to their gigs. This series is posted on my Instagram account and has changed the way society views drag as well as what it stands for.
About this Work:
Being able to get a firsthand look at these queen’s personal stories as well as being able to see their identity and what it means to them has given society a clearer and deeper understanding as to what drag really is. As a part of the LGBTQ+ Community it is such an honor for me and the legacies rooted to each story of these queen's told through each photograph individually, because these queen's influenced the popularity of drag is the recent increase in the voice of our community.
